FENCON Consulting Company Presents Draft Design for Kibaale-Karuguuza Modern Market

Preparations for the construction of Kibaale-Karuguuza modern market in Kibaale Town Council is in high gears after the FENCON Consulting Engineers on Friday conducted a technical presentation of drafted design of the market to the district stakeholders.
A 25 Billion Shillings modern market is under the markets and agricultural trade improvement program (MATIP-2) funded by the ministry of local government and FENCON Consulting Company was contracted to make a design for the Market.
In a meeting with district stakeholders, market vendors among others in the district council hall, Eng Gabriel Fataki presented a draft design of the market indicating, 196 lockups, 96 stalls, restaurants and 2 hotels accommodating 40 people, daycare catering for 20 babies, 2 banks, and monitor screens.
Others are, CCTV cameras, police zone, security lights, health facility, stalls for saloon operators, e-marketing and tourism features to boost tourism in Kibaale among others.
During an open discussion, stakeholders proposed some interventions in the design including the establishment of a conference room, sewage and drainage system, creating offices for the district technical staff among others.
Minister of finance, Matia Kasaija who was represented by George William Bizibu, the Secretary Departed Asians Property Custodian Board called for cooperation amongst stakeholders for the success and progress of the project
In the same meeting, Deborah Mbabazi the RDC Kibaale asked the stakeholders not to politicize government projects and program for the benefit of people.
