Man sentenced to 100 days of community service on charges of attempted murder in Kibaale

Hoima Chief Magistrate, James Opio on Thursday sentenced Martin Dukuzumuremyi aged 37 a resident of Hamugamba village, Karama Sub County in Kibaale district to 100 days of community service on charges of attempted murder.
Prosecution told court that on 27th of last month while in Hamugamba village, Dukuzumuremyi unlawfully attempted to cause death to Juvinal Nsegima a resident of the same area.
During the court plea bargain, he pleaded guilty and the chief magistrate sentenced him to 100 days of community service working three hours per day at Matale health center III and to also compensate the complainant 500,000shs.
