Pathfinder International donates PPEs to Kibaale health department

The Pathfinder International a nongovernmental organization in collaboration with USAID has donated assorted Personal Protective Equipment-PPEs to Kibaale health department to help health workers in the district in handling COVID-19 related cases.

Herbert Mugumya the Country Director Pathfinder international handed over the items to the district officials including the CAO Kibaale, Dorothy Ajwang, RDC Deborah Mbabazi, Godfrey Timbihurira the DHO, Gerald Bategeka the vice chairperson LCV among others.

Addressing the officials at district headquarters, Mugumye says the donated items which include 186 jelly canes of liquid soap, 52 cartons of Jik, 472 face masks, 2 boxes of disposable medical masks, 6 boxes of pocket sanitizers and 8 boxes of gloves among others are meant to protect health workers from being infected with coronavirus.

Witnessing the donation, Dorothy Ajwang the CAO applauds the development partners like USAID and Pathfinder for supporting the urging the health department to distribute the items in all health facilities to help health workers while executing their duties.

Deborah Mbabazi the RDC Kibaale and Gerald Bategeka the vice chairperson LCV reveal that the donated items are timely due to the raise of COVID-19 cases in the district due to laxity by community members.
