Kibaale District Projects to Implement Over Ushs27 billion Budget in 2022/2023FY

Kibaale district budget conference for the Financial Year 2022-2023 on Thurday ended at Kibaale district headquarters with the revelation that the district expects to spend over 27.1 billion shillings the coming Financial Year.

The Chief Administrative Officer of Kibaale, Dorothy Ajwang, says the budget will primarily focus on two broad objectives that includes mitigating COVID-19 impact on business activities and livelihoods to support the recovery of the economy as well as increasing access to capital, revamping health infrastructure and health systems.

According to Ajwang, the district projects the resource envelope of over shs430.2million (1.6%) as local revenue, shs26.2billion as central government transfers (96.7%) and over shs452.8million (1.7%) as external funding.

Development partners including Eco- Agric Uganda committed to implement some projects with estimated budget of over shs613million well as Pathfinder and USAID committed to continue sensitizing the communities on family planning activities.

In their deliberations, councilors suggested areas that need to be included in the budget for their respective areas of jurisdiction.

However, Deborah Mbabazi, the RDC Kibaale expressed the need to implement what has been planned for the coming financial year in order to realize good service delivery.
