UPDF, Police clean up Streets in Kibaale town Council ahead of Tarehe Sita Celebrations

Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) officers from Bubango detach in collaboration with police officers from Kibaale Police Station in Kibaale District on Saturday joined by a section of local leaders clean up streets in Karuguuza Town, Kibaale Town council as they prepare to mark their 41st Tarehe Sita anniversary .

The 303 brigade of the 9th battalion of the Uganda people’s defense forces attached to Bubango detach also cleaned Kibaale Health Center IV as part of the community engagements to prepare for the celebrations.

Carolyn Kashaija Muyambi, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner Kibaale district says the locals played a big role in the liberation struggles and doing general cleaning of the town is giving back to the community as well as keeping bondage between them.

Fred Matovu, the NRM chairperson Kibaale district together with Joseph Saazi the LCIII chairperson Kibaale town council say that it is worth to celebrate the 41 years of the UPDF because there has been tremendous transformation in the behaviors of UPDF compared to the forces in the previous regimes.

Residents and Local leaders who participated in the cleaning note that the agencies have promoted peace and unity in the country thus need to celebrate them.

Among other activities conducted by the UPDF during the exercise is tree planting to enable the future generation commemorate the efforts of the UPDF during their 41st Tarehe sita anniversary.
