Slight Price decrease on Meat Ahead of Easter Sunday

There was a slight decrease in the prices of beef in Kibaale town council today ahead of Easter Sunday tomorrow.
In a min-survey made by KDR reporter today in different slaughtering places, the price of beef has decreased from Shillings 15,000 to 14,000 shillings and others at shr12,000 whereas a Kilogram of goat meat was maintained at Shillings 16000 Shillings.
It has been observed that over 50 heads of cattle were slaughtered whereby in Karuguuza town 20 cows were slaughtered, Kasambya 2, Ngangi 6, Kakidumu 2, Kikaada 4, Hakasalaba 12, Kibingo 3 and Kyamalyante trading center 3.
Customers say they are happy over the reduction of the meat prices noting that they have remained with surplus money for other purposes.
Raphael Busobozi the Kibaale town council Veterinary Officer says that all the slaughtered heads of cattle were registered and verified.
Meanwhile, in Kabasekende Sub County, 6 heads of cattle were slaughtered in Kabasekende trading center according to KDR Correspondent Tom Magala.
